And welcome to the home page of Simon Fraser University's Mathematics Student Union! Our objectives are as follows:
In short, we are hoping to make your school life a little more enjoyable whether we are hosting events or just maintaining our common room - a safe clean space in which you can hangout, socialize, or get some work done. Our common room is located at K9513 and is equipped with a microwave, fridge, printer, board games, whiteboards, and comfortable furniture making it the perfect place on campus for work or socializing! If the door is locked, then just knock and we'll let you in.
We hold meetings every two weeks in which we discuss upcoming events amongst other things; everyone is welcome to attend and there is often free food! Voting at these meetings is restricted to members only and membership is granted to all declared majors, minors, and honours in the Mathematics department, Mathematical Physics, and Mathematics and Computing Science plus all students currently enrolled in at least one course offered by the Mathematics department in the current semester.
We hope to see you around and if you have any questions please feel free to reach us at math(dash)pres(at)sfu(dot)ca. :)
Signed,
The MSU Exec Team
